An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Bus Route:
Ballinasloe to Killimor
Meet bus in Ballinasloe, collect 5 children from their homes around Ballinasloe and accompany them to the school in Killimor you will be dropped off in Ballinalsloe afterwards and collected for the home journey in the afternoon.
Experience Required:
Experience of working with children with Special Needs, particularly Autism, preferable, but not essential. Must be kind, caring, punctual, reliable, patient and work well with children.
Responsibilities:
Accompany/supervise students with special needs on their journey to and from school. The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils and will be required to assist them getting into and out of the taxi and securing appropriate seatbelts etc.
Close communication with parents/guardians via WhatsApp about bus delays, buses not running, school closure days etc..
Hours of work:
Term Time only.
Monday to Friday.
Morning: Approx. 8.30am – 9.45am
Afternoons: Approx. 1.40pm – 2.45pm
Total hours per day: Approx 2.5-3 hrs
Salary:
€15.20 per hour (Paid monthly)
Holiday hours paid at rate of 8% of hours worked.
Holiday pay payable at Christmas, Easter and at beginning of Summer holidays.
