An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Principal/ Class Teachers and will form part of a team of 8 existing SNAs. Candidates will be expected to show examples of working effectively in a team.
Confidentiality and discretion are essential.
Qualifications as set out by the Department of Education and Skills for this post (see DES Circular 0051/2019).
Duties of the post are as outlined in the Department of Education 0030/2014 and other relevant circulars.
Duties of the post are subject to change depending on the care needs of the pupils and the school.
Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening and completion of the online Túsla Child Safeguarding training.
The post is subject to continued NCSE allocation and SENO review.
