POST DETAILS
Additional Information:
We invite applications from teachers who are interested in working in our school, a diverse DEIS Band 1 school in the centre of Dublin.
Most of our children speak English as an additional language. We place great emphasis on the importance of children’s home languages and teachers are encouraged to promote linguistic diversity and provide opportunities for children to use their languages in the classroom. We also have a significant number of children who have additional learning needs and who need carefully personalised learning opportunities. We are looking for teachers who can be flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school.
We are a restorative school and positive relationships are at the heart of all we do.
We offer the Droichead process and newly qualified teachers will be well-supported by our team.
Our staff team is friendly and welcoming, supporting one another, sharing good practice and working together to ensure the best possible outcomes for all of our children. We are looking for someone who is energetic, innovative and enthusiastic and can contribute to our team, working on their own initiative and willing to go the extra mile.
You will learn lots about our school on our website. Applicants should be clear and specific in their cover letter about why they have chosen to apply to our school.
The initial duties will be in support teaching. We can be flexible about the start date and welcome applicants who may be looking for work from November or January 2025, for example. We have a full-time fixed-term role, a job-share 0.5 post (Mon-Wed) and a maternity cover until Christmas. Applicants should be registered with the Teaching Council.
