An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The bus escort will accompany and support pupils in our special classes to and from school each day. The bus escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons, five days per week for the school year. The bus escort is responsible for the safety of the children on board the bus/taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including, but not limited to, assisting the children getting on and off the bus/taxi, securing appropriate seat belts, etc. No official qualifications are needed, however, good communication skills and experience of caring for/working with children with additional needs is desirable.

The post is approx 20 hours per week. The bus escort should be available daily, in the mornings from 7am – 9am & in the afternoons from 1:30pm – 3:30pm. The bus escort will meet the bus driver each morning and afternoon at SN Chiaráin Naofa.

Appointment is subject to Garda Vetting requirements, occupational health check and verification of references. Please include at least one work reference and one character reference and their contact details with your CV.
