POST DETAILS
Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This a full time, permanent post.
Applicants should have qualifications as per Department of Education & Skills Circular 0030/2019.
Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible, display strong work ethic and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.
The successful candidates may work with children:
A) who require support across a range of learning, sensory difficulties, physical needs and/or intimate care needs.
B) with Autism and complex needs.
Experience working with pupils with Autism and emotional, behavioural and communication difficulties advantageous.
The successful candidates may be placed in mainstream or an ASD class, depending on the needs of the school.
Appointment is subject to vetting requirements, Occupational Health screening and TUSLA Child Safeguarding Training.
The position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
