An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

There are 2 fulltime positions & 1 x 0.83 (Infant Day) position. Interviews will be held on Thursday 4th July 2024.

The Harold School has an Autism Class (Special Class (ASD-Junior)). SNAs may work in mainstream, our Autism Class or a combination of both. SNA class placement is reviewed annually in line with the developing needs of the children. Applicants should have qualifications as per Department of Education & Skills Circular 0030/2019.
Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible, display strong work ethic and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training. We are inviting applications from candidates who have experience of working with children with ASD and who have a strong knowledge and experience of positive behaviour support strategies. Duties include catering for care needs such as toileting, dressing and feeding, supporting students with challenging behaviour, assisting pupils in the swimming pool. It would be desirable for candidates to have some experience of using PECS, TEACCH or Lámh.

Appointment is subject to current vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening and completion of the online TUSLA Child Safeguarding training.
Applicants who are deemed to be a member of the supplementary panel must furnish a certified copy of completed Panel Form 1 (PF1) with their application. This must be displayed at the very front of your application with your cover letter.
Any canvassing will disqualify without exception.
The positions are subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
