An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Anne's Special School caters for pupils with moderate and severe/profound intellectual disabilities from ages 4-18 years. 9 Teachers and 22.5 SNAs facilitate individual programmes of instruction.
Applicants should have experience working with children and young people with GLD, autism and additional needs in a special school environment. Applicants should have knowledge and familiarity with the maintenance of low-arousal environments and positive behaviour management approaches. Experience of visual communication, LÁMH, AAC Communication and Safety Intervention training is desirable.
