An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
These are fulltime permanent posts arising from the sanctioning of an ASD Class.
If applicable, please include your PF1 with your application and state the date of your redundancy and addition to the SNA Panel in your letter of application.
It would be desirable for candidates to have experience of working with pupils with ASD, ADHD, EBD, Down Syndrome, Diabetes,Cerebral Palsy etc. The qualities looked for in the ideal candidates are flexibility, empathy, strong work ethic, kind disposition and high emotional intelligence. Candidates should also demonstrate a willingness to avail of Continuous Professional Development.
Final appointment is subject to satisfactory references, Garda Vetting requirements, satisfactory pre-employment medical screening via the OHS and the Patron's approval.
