Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Peter's National School is opening a class for children with Autism this year.
We invite applicants for the position of Special Needs Assistant. The successful candidates may also work with mainstream pupils in our school. Experience of working in a special setting (Autism Class) will be an advantage.
An additional qualification in additional/special needs, evidence of commitment to continuous professional development is also advantageous.
The Role of the SNA is as set out in DES Circular 30/2014.
Candidates must be willing to uphold the ethos of the school, display a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the initiative to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will be expected to respect the dignity and confidentiality of the pupils and will be expected to avail of further training as required.

The positions are subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
