An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The escorts will accompany pupil(s) on taxi/bus transport from their home to and from school. The bus escort must be available in the mornings from 7.00 am - 9:00 am and afternoons from 2:15pm - 3:30pm, five days a week for the school year 2023/2024. These are approximate times only and do not constitute the actual working hours. The route will commence at the school.
The escort is responsible for the safety of the child on board the bus/taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including, but not limited to, assisting the child getting on and off the bus/taxi, securing appropriate seat belts, etc.
Applicants should have experience of working with students with physical, sensory, learning and complex difficulties. The successful candidate must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible, display a strong work ethic and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.
Satisfactory references, Garda Vetting and Occupational Health Screening are required. Department of Education guidelines apply.
