Clocha Rince National School is a Catholic School under the patronage of the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin.
It is a co-educational, vertical mainstream school with 6 mainstream classes, two Special Classes for children with autism, 3 Special Education Teachers and 5 SNAs.
The roles and responsibilities for this post relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management, as specified in DES Circular 0044/2019.
The successful candidate must be fully registered Primary School teacher with the Teaching Council, have at least 5 year’s teaching experience, be fully Garda Vetted and have a recognised qualification in the teaching of Religious Education.
The following skills, knowledge and experience are desirable:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, that facilitate strong leadership and teamwork.
• Proven leadership skills, including policy development and implementation
• Commitment to Catholic ethos
• Knowledge of Special Educational Needs and a commitment to inclusion
• Ability to promote a culture of care, respect and learning
• Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school-based initiatives.
• Ability to encourage and foster the involvement of parents and the wider community in the education of the children in the school
• Evidence of on-going professional development
