An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Hospital School CHI at Temple Street is a tertiary paediatric hospital school that provides education for children and adolescents with medical needs ranging in age from 4 to 18 years.
We aim to deliver a high quality education service that is appropriate, holistic and customised for each child and to equip all pupils/students to leave hospital school, empowered with a positive attitude towards continuing their education.
Candidates are required to have Teaching Council Registration.
An additional qualification and experience in working in Special Education is desirable. A genuine interest in working with students with Special Educational Needs to help them achieve their full potential is extremely important.
Experience teaching at various class levels in Primary alongside experience in SET, a Special Class or Special School is advantageous
