An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Applications are invited for the position of Principal teacher in City Quay National School. This vibrant and inclusive school has a Catholic ethos and is under the patronage of the Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin. City Quay NS- Actively involved in a caring school.

The following skills, knowledge and experience are desirable:
• Proven leadership skills, including policy development and implementation.
• Strong organisational capabilities. Experience in prioritising, planning and organising workload.
• Evidence of continuing professional development in a leadership role.
• Ability to promote a culture of caring, learning and creativity in the school.
• Excellent communication skills expressed both in leadership and teamwork.
• Knowledge of Special Education Needs and a commitment to inclusion and diversity.


Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications and Teaching Council registration.
