Ballyvongane NS is a Roman Catholic Primary School under the patronage of the Bishop of Cloyne.

The staff comprises the Principal and 1 classroom teacher. There is 1 shared SEN
teacher and 1 shared Principal Release Cluster teacher.

Our school strives to provide an inclusive, happy and secure environment where the intellectual, spiritual, moral and creative needs of the children are supported and nurtured.

The successful candidate needs to have the ability and motivation to lead Ballyvongane National School as an integral part of the community aiming for excellence in all aspects of school life.

The roles and responsibilities of the post are determined by the 4 domains of Leadership and Management as set out in Circular 0044/2019.
1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation.
3. Leading School Development.
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.

Applicants must be fully registered with the Teaching Council.

Candidates should :
Demonstrate excellent people management, leadership and communication skills.
Have an in-depth knowledge of the Curriculum for all classes; Inclusivity and a range of Teaching Experience.
Demonstrate evidence of working as an effective team member.
A proven ability to implement collaborative school based initiatives and to demonstrate evidence of leadership.
Evidence of Continual Professional Development.
Hold a recognised certificate in Religious Education and a capacity to support the Catholic Ethos of the School.
