Primary and Early Years Teachers, nursery nurses

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative and committed teachers to join our international teaching team, comprised of native Finnish speakers as well as teachers from across Europe and around the world.

The English Speaking Playschool of Oulu has been offering high quality English language day care and preschool for almost 30 years. We have been leading and winning awards across Europe for our international projects and cooperation with other schools.

This year we are moving into a new, purpose built building which requires us to expand our team to meet the needs of our growing educational community.

We provide day care, in English, for children aged 3-6 years and preschool education for 5-6 year olds who will then be starting school at the age of 7. We follow the Finnish curriculum guidelines for pre-primary education and the guidelines for early childhood education and care as set out by the Finnish ministry of education. In addition, we also have our own tailor-made curriculum and syllabus.

We are looking for nursery nurses and qualified teachers, with early years’ experience, to join our teaching team. The positions are suitable for experienced teachers and NQTs alike. Mother tongue or equivalent English skills are necessary for these positions.

Interviews will be conducted via Teams/Zoom in April 2023 with employment for successful candidates commencing from 1st August 2023. (Starting dates will be negotiable to a degree).
