An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
We are looking for a fully qualified Primary teacher to work as part of a dynamic and collaborative team of teachers providing education to the patients of the children's hospital in Crumlin.
The initial duties of this position are those of a Hospital Teacher providing education in a tertiary hospital school for primary pupils with acute or chronic medical needs.
Hospital teachers deliver education in various hospital settings, including both 1:1 sessions at the bedside and small multi-level groups in a classroom setting. Hospital teachers need to be adaptable and flexible to provide for a diverse and transitory population of students. Planned lessons often need to be differentiated in the moment to meet our students' changing emotional and educational needs.
As a special school, we work the primary school calendar and the primary school day.
The position commences as soon as possible after selection and continues until at least October 2023
