An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The successful candidates will be required to escort a pupil from either Bannow or Our Lady's Island to the school each morning and afternoon. School begins at 9:30am and finishes at 1:30pm. The bus escort will be required to meet the driver at a designated place and will be required to work each day the school is open. Garda Vetting prior to commencement of the post is required. The successful candidate will also be required to complete the relevant Child Protection Online Training.
Salary: Hourly rate as determined by the Department of Education.
Duties will include:
* Escorting the pupil safely to and from school safely in the transport provided.
* Liaising with staff and guardians when necessary.
* Assisting the pupils to board and alight from transport safely and ensuring that the pupil is received by the responsible adult at the set down point.
