Special Education Teacher
Location: Camberwell, London.

Engage Education is supporting an SEN school in Camberwell seeking a SEN Teacher to join their team for September. The school is a complex mixed needs special secondary school in the London Borough of Southwark. Camberwell is a central location with Heathrow airport just over an hour away.

This school is oversubscribed every year and they have 148 pupils on roll at present.
The school staff is made up of dedicated teachers and teaching assistants, a Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapy, Family Worker and Full time work experience teacher.

This school has been rated as ‘good’ by Ofsted, with them saying “Pupils are extremely positive about the school and say that the teachers are fun. They say that they feel safe. Pupils’ behaviour in lessons and around the school is excellent. In lessons, there is a high level of pupil engagement and enjoyment.”


Application Criteria:
Secondary Teaching Qualification with any subject specialism
Creative and imaginative teacher with a passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
Experience working with students with complex needs
An SEN qualification is desirable but not essential

Additional training for this position can be provided. The school’s main priority is hiring a teacher that is passionate about SEN education. NQTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

Salary:
£32,157- £42,624
