Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on the 18th day of June 2022 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 24th day of June 2022.
The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement to the 26th day of June 2022.
The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.
St Laserian's is a Special School catering for students with Mild, Moderate and Severe to Profound I.D.
Initial duties are for a teacher in a class catering for students with ASD and I.D.
A recognised qualification (or evidence of enrolment in college providing same) to teach Religious Education in a catholic school is required.
Behaviour management experience and training is desirable as is knowledge of TEACCH, PECS, LAMH.
Please note , interviews will take place on the week of 15th August 2022.
