Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
One substitute required for Principal Release days, a minimum of one set day per week.
One substitute required for course days, as additional teaching support etc. This will be on a casual basis.
Shadowing and training will be provided.
Experience working in a hospital setting or experience working with both Primary and Second Level pupils a plus but not essential.
NCH Special School is a one-teacher Hospital School that caters for Primary and Second-level pupils who are in-patients in the hospital.
Our aim is to create a safe, fun, engaging environment in which the pupils can learn. The school often serves as a distraction from their hospital stay.
