An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

There are two positions available, 0.83 (infant day) post and 0.5
(half day) post.

Portlaw National School invites applications from experienced candidates for these positions. A proven track record of working with autistic children, OT needs, emotional/behavioural difficulties and medical needs in a school setting is essential. Experience of the TEACCH, PECS and Lámh approaches to intervention would be advantageous.

Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, able to work on their own initiative and willing to make a positive contribution to our school.

Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements and occupational health screening.

Applicants who are deemed to be on the SNA Supplementary Panel should furnish a copy of Panel Form (PF1) with their application.
