Assistant Montessori Teacher in Little Eaton Montessori, a warm and welcoming sessional Montessori school in Shankill, Co Dublin. Working hours are from 8.40am to 1.40pm.
We cater for 20 children in our classroom. Established in 2012, Little Eaton strives to provide a home from home environment, where children are happy and can learn and play. We provide an inclusive environment where all staff and children's views are respected and valued.
Requirements: Minimum Level 6 in Montessori education. The teacher will be responsible for implementing the Montessori method and catering for each child’s individual need. A working knowledge of Aistear, Siolta and the pre school regulations is essential. As part of a small team the candidate will work closely with the lead teacher and plan the weekly curriculum, oversee all child observations and Montessori work records.
A genuine interest in children and the Montessori method is a must. As is a positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a small team. An interest in outdoor fun and activities is highly advantageous as we spend a lot of time outdoors with the children. Full training will be given.
The candidate must have relevant first aid, child protection and manual handling course and be available to start at the end of August 2022. There is also an option for flexible work in July at summer camps.
The position would suit a recently qualified Montessori student or a teacher with one or two years’ experience
