An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This appointment is being made under the terms of Circular 0070/2018. The successful candidate will become part of the leadership and management team in the school. The Deputy Principal will co-operate in partnership with the Principal, on a day to day basis, with the challenges and issues which arise in the fulfilment of the Principal's role.
The roles and responsibilities for this post will relate to the four domains (as specified in Circular 0070/2018)
Domain 1: Leading, Teaching and Learning
Domain 2: Managing the organisation
Domain 3: Leading School Development
Domain 4: Developing Leadership Capacity

This is a Deputy Principal position with initial duties teaching 5th and 6th Class.
Full probation necessary.
As this is a Catholic school, the successful candidate must have a Certificate to teach RE.
Experience in multi-grade teaching and competency in music and or sport highly desirable to meet current needs of the school. Please detail any such relevance in your application.
Appointment is subject to, but not limited to satisfactory references, current and continued registration with The Teaching Council, current Garda Vetting and OHS requirements.
