An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This vibrant and inclusive school has a Catholic ethos and is under the patronage of the Catholic Archdiocese of Tuam. The successful candidate must have a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education and a commitment to promoting the Catholic ethos.

The following skills, knowledge and experience are desirable:
• Proven leadership skills, including policy development and implementation.
• Strong organisational capabilities. Experience in prioritising, planning and organising workload.
• Evidence of continuing professional development in a leadership role.
• Ability to promote a culture of learning and creativity in the school.
• Excellent communication skills expressed both in leadership and teamwork.
• Knowledge of Special Education Needs and a commitment to inclusion and diversity.
• Capacity to manage digital learning into the future.


Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications and Teaching Council registration.
