An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

St. Brigid's B.N.S. is seeking to appoint 2 bus escorts commencing 19th October 2020 (provisional date). One escort will accompany one specific pupil on the specialised bus transport from their home to and from school. One escort will accompany a small group of children on the specialised bus to and from school.
The bus escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons throughout the school year.
The escort is responsible for the safety of their appointed pupil/pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seat belts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to collaborate with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to Garda vetting and appropriate character references.
