About Nord Anglia Education

Nord Anglia Education (NAE) is the world’s leading premium school’s organisation, with campuses located across dozens of countries in the Americas, Europe, China, Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East. Together, our schools educate tens of thousands of students from kindergarten through to the end of secondary school. We are driven by one unifying philosophy: we are ambitious for our schools, students, teachers, staff and communities, and we inspire every child who attends an NAE school to achieve more than they ever imagined possible.

Our Schools

Each Nord Anglia Education school is unique in character and designed to meet the needs of its community. We are united by our philosophy, to be ambitious for our students, our people and our family of schools. We believe that being part of our family of 66 schools gives them a special advantage. Working together, we can achieve more than we can individually. Our schools have access to a wide range of resources and support to enhance their success. We also create unique opportunities to benefit our students and people, such as the Global Campus, Nord Anglia University, and our collaborations with The Juilliard School, MIT, UNICEF and King’s College London.

About Nord Anglia International School Dublin

Nord Anglia International School Dublin is an IB candidate school offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and from September 2020 will offer the Diploma Programme. The school opened in September 2018 with one class in each year group and due to high demand, we are looking to appoint enthusiastic and committed teachers as we to increase our capacity in the school.
NAIS Dublin is at an exciting stage of its development, having grown significantly since we opened. We have over 30 nationalities represented in the school community, who thrive academically; are committed to achieving their best and who grow with us as true global citizens through our culture of respect, opportunity and personal development. We also have highly supportive parents who engage fully in the life of the school and their children’s education.
The successful candidates will be excellent teachers who provide personalised learning opportunities that inspire our students. They will be effective communicators, who value relationships and will want to participate fully in all aspects of school life as well as the classroom. Amongst other things, they will be well organised, have a good sense of humour and enjoy collaborating as a team.

About the role

We’ll look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to the Irish Leaving Certificate curriculum, creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved. You will foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through inquiry, questioning and discussion.

About you

Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will bring a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification and experience to the table. Familiarity of the Leaving Certificate Irish curriculum is desirable. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative methods to raise the school’s level of achievement.

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Ireland and hold a tertiary degree with qualified teacher status or equivalent.

You will be expected to facilitate children’s learning by:
• Establishing a purposeful and safe learning environment. Displaying and celebrating students’ work effectively.
• Planning effective programmes which provide exemplary learning opportunities within and beyond the classroom.
• Planning with other members of the department for sequential curricula, with each year’s course of study building upon previous year’s work and building toward the following year’s work.
• Planning, initiating and guiding the study of units of inquiry in Irish which involve speaking, listening, writing, and reading.
• Foster thought, discussion, reading comprehension, linguistic analysis, a consistent work ethic, Irish skills, and a desire for learning and excellence.
• Assess student learning effectively, positively targeting and supporting the individual and personal learning needs of the children.
• Creating assessments, evaluating those assessments, and maintaining records in line with school policy.
• Using technology to enhance and transform personalised learning opportunities.
• Being involved in school trips and co-curricular activities.
• Have positive relationships with students, parents and the local community. Maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain professional standards especially in dress, punctuality and attendance.
• Comply with conditions as stated in employee handbook.
