An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Experience assisting children with A.S.D and Epilepsy in a primary school setting desirable.
Practical experience with the management of challenging behaviour and promotion of positive behaviour strategies preferable.
Candidate must be able to show flexibility and work well within a team, display a strong work ethic and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.
This position will involve working closely with the Principal. class teacher and other staff in support of children with special needs. It may require working with one or more children with special needs during the school day.
The successful candidate will be expected to respect the confidentiality of students at all times.
Appointment will be subject but not limited to: Satisfactory references, Current Vetting Requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
Panel Form (PF1) should be included if applicable.
