Educational Psychologist
The Department of Education and Skills’ National Educational Psychological Service (NEPS) is seeking to recruit Educational Psychologists. NEPS provides a comprehensive, school-based educational psychological service to all primary and post-primary schools through the application of psychological theory and practice to support the wellbeing and the academic, social and emotional development of all learners. NEPS has particular regard for children with special educational needs and those at risk of educational disadvantage. NEPS continues to develop its evidence based practice to support the needs of children, young people and schools with an evolving focus on wellbeing and mental health.
Successful candidate(s) will have knowledge and expertise in areas of psychology as applied to the needs of the education system, with particular reference to inclusion and participation, wellbeing/social and emotional competence, special education, critical incident response and systems research.
Vacancies currently exist in Cavan, Clonmel, Dublin, Drogheda, Letterkenny and Navan.
A panel will be formed from which vacancies may be filled in Regional Locations.
