An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Stewarts School caters for students with moderate, severe and profound intellectual disability aged 4-18 years. In addition, many students have additional needs such as autism and complex medical conditions. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Our post-primary aged students engage in the Junior Cycle Level 1 Programme. Training will be provided as needed in PECS, Lámh, positive behaviour strategies and crisis intervention/management is an advantage. The school participates in the Droichead Programme.

Appointment will be subject, but not limited to: Satisfactory references; Current & Continuing Teaching Council Registration; current Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening. The position runs until the end of the current school year.
