An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This is a permanent position subject to the normal reviews by the NCSE. A relevant Childcare or SNA course is essential. Experience working with pupils on the ASD spectrum using programmes such as TEACCH, PECS, LÁMH, Social Stories etc is desirable. Experience using I-Pads, computer programmes etc with pupils with SEN is required. Appointment will be subject to Vetting requirements as detailed in DES Circular 003/2016 and Occupational Health screening.
