Lecturer in Montessori Education

St. Nicholas Montessori College is a QQI accredited Higher Education Institute specialising in education and related disciplines. This position is a full-time or substantial FTE part-time role in the College as a College Lecturer specialising in Montessori Education. The Lecturer will teach across a number of programmes including the College's flagship B.Ed. in Montessori Education programme. The Lecturer will also have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the future development and direction of the College.

The role includes teaching, learning and assessment, school placement management (in pre-schools and primary schools), quality assurance and enhancement, programme development and research.

We are looking for a Montessori trained educator who has the enthusasium and commitment to match our vision for the development of the College and the Society as a whole. Ideally you will have experience of higher education teaching and programme management, be a qualified Montessori school teacher and have a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy and methodologies, as they apply to the birth to 6 and 6 to 12 age group. You must have a minimum of a Level 9 (Master's) award in a relevant discipline and preferably a PhD or be working towards one. Experience of accreditation and working with QQI and/or teacher preparation programmes would be highly beneficial.
