An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Initial duties are for Mainstream Class Teacher and are subject to change.
The following skills and experience are advantageous:
• evidence of strong behaviour management skills
• ability to effectively plan and deliver the curriculum including a variety of team-teaching and literacy/numeracy initiatives
• a knowledge of special educational needs
• proven ability to contribute to school development and the school community
• ardchumas Gaeilge
• additional relevant courses/qualifications
With special classes for children with autism in our school, commitment to the provision of special education is an advantage.
Applicants must have a Certificate to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School.
Appointment is subject, but not limited to satisfactory references, current Garda vetting requirements, an occupational health screening and Tusla child safeguarding training.
