An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Stepping Stones Special School caters for pupils with a diagnosis of Autism and Complex Needs from 4-18 years of age. Stepping Stones is committed to supporting people with Autism and their families to enhancing the quality of their lives and achieving their personal goals. We invite candidates to apply for a Special Class Teacher position commencing September 30th 2019. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in a Special School setting preferably with students with Autism and a solid understanding of ASD and methodologies used in school settings e.g. TEACCH, ABA,social stories etc. in addition the successful candidate must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team.
