An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Ballycroneen NS is a two teacher school with one SET in the Diocese of Cloyne. The candidate will be required to teach in a multi-class setting (4 classes) as well as carrying out the post of Principal.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to support the ethos of the school and applicants must have a certificate to teach Religious Education.
In addition the following skills, experience and knowledge are desirable –
Previous teaching experience in a range of classes.
Evidence of continuing and relevant Professional Development.
Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
Excellent communicational skills.
Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school based initiatives.
Interest in extra-curricular activities.
Appointment will be subject to, but not limited to - satisfactory references, current and continuing Teaching Council Registration, current vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
Candidates called for interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications and teaching council registration.
A minimum of three applicants must be received in order to fill the post
