An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Holy Child Pre-school is under the DES and provides quality early years education to children age 3-5 years from Dublin north inner city. The school adheres to AISTEAR Curriculum framework and Síolta quality framework. In 2016 the school opened a special class for six children age 3-5 years diagnosed with ASD. The class has two SNAs to support the class teacher. Holy Child pre-school promotes inclusion and reverse inclusion where possible. It is an advocate of DROICHEAD programme but is NOT designated an appropriate setting by the Teaching Council, However we provide quality induction support to all newly appointed staff.
