The School:

The International School Ikast-Brande is located in the Heart of Denmark. It has around 190 students on roll spread over the Primary and Secondary section.

Our students are highly motivated and extremely positive about our school.We teach the IGCSE curriculum provided by Cambridge International Examinations.

The school is committed to providing high quality international education to families moving to Denmark and students from the surrounding area seeking a more international education for their children. The parents are actively involved in the learning of their children.

Our students come from many different countries and nationalities providing a rich and diverse school environment. We encourage our students to find the balance between Academic success and a well-rounded and balanced lifestyle. We instil in our students from a very early age the principles of right and wrong allowing them to make good decisions. This in turn has created a positive environment where very few disciplinary issues arise. Both staff and students look forward to coming into school and working together.

Denmark and Ikast:

Denmark is an extremely open and friendly country with a diverse selection of activities. Ikast is located in the centre of the country with many transport links including Billund airport. Denmark is a safe environment and Ikast's small community feel is the ideal place for a family or an exciting new adventure for travellers. Denmark and the Ikast area has many International forums and groups to help newcomers settle and meet people, the school also has a parent circle who create a social atmosphere to help integrate new members of the society.

Requirements:

A relevant teaching qualification or equivalent and at least 1 year after qualifying - two years teaching experience is preferable, but not essential. Current or Previous experience of the English National Curriculum to KS3 is also preferred, but not essential.

Experience of working internationally is desirable
Experience of supporting students to reach their full potential when taking examinations is essential.

Package:

The starting salary is approximately 25,000 DKK Gross. Converted with current exchange rate to around 3200€ per month. Salary is according to experience and qualification.The package also includes 17.3% pension paid in full by the school.
