An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time post - fixed term position for the school year 2017 – 2018, subject to normal review by the NCSE.

Appointment will be subject to vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
Minimum qualifications as per Department and Skills guidelines – a relevant childcare or SNA course with QQI/FETAC level 5 Qualification or equivalent would be highly desirable.
Knowledge and experience of supporting multiple children with different additional needs in a mainstream primary setting - experience managing challenging behaviour and working with pupils with ASD, EBD, SEBD, ADHD, developmental delays and/or medical conditions would be highly advantageous.
Additional childcare and/or other relevant qualifications or courses (e.g. Childcare, First Aid, Manual Handling, behaviour management, ASD etc.) would be desirable.
Candidates should demonstrate their suitability to take on this position through their application, experience, performance at interview and referees’ reports. Personality traits include being patient and calm, have good interpersonal skills, being punctual, good employment attendance record, and respecting confidentiality.
SNAs can be allocated to any SNA role in the school at any time, at the discretion of the school principal.
