An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a two teacher rural school with a current enrolment of 23 students. The vacancy arises in the Junior Room [Junior Infants - Second Classes - currently 12 Students - 4 streams]. Enrolment numbers, stream allocations and duties are subject to change.
Experience of planning for and teaching in a multi grade setting is essential. Applicants should also have an excellent understanding of SEN as there are a number of students with SEN currently in the Junior setting.
Scoil Mhuire is a Catholic School under the patronage of the Bishop of Meath. The successful appointee is required to have an appropriate qualification to teach religious education from a college recognised by the Irish Catholic Bishops' Conference.
The school has access to SET support, SNA and Secretarial hours. Shortlisting may apply. Interviews will take place during the first week of July 2017.
The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 1st day of June, 2017 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Meath. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 6th day of June, 2017
The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 8th day of June, 2017.
The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.
