Title:
Education Officer, Irish Aid
Description:
The post of Education Officer is open to serving primary and post-primary teachers on a secondment basis. Education Officers will have responsibility for supporting development education policy including promotion of development education in the formal and non-formal education sectors.
Requirements for the post are:
•A recognised primary or post-primary teaching qualification;
•Strong knowledge and experience of the Irish education system;
•Good knowledge and experience of development education issues;
•Satisfactory references from employers;
•Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Knowledge of development education in non-formal education settings and experience of teaching FETAC accredited modules would also be welcome.
