St Augustine's is a special school catering for 160 amazing students aged 8-18. Our students have a diagnosis of mild/moderate general learning disabilities. Some students have an additional diagnosis of ASD, ADHD, ADD and hearing or visual impairment. Our 2 week July Provision Summer programme will be filled with fun learning activities such as swimming, cycling, music, computers, visits from Festina Lente ponies and an end of programme water battle between staff and pupils! We will also support literacy and numeracy skills using a cross curricular approach. We will use our new school yard for fun and learning activities throughout the camp. Our programme will strive to help our pupils further develop their friendships and independent living skills. Most activities will take place on our campus and we will have some trips out in the wider community eg. visits to Dublin zoo etc. If you are interested in joining our team for this programme please contact us via details below or give us a call on 01 2881771. We will prepare a good transition plan with our dedicated team for any successful applicants and each class will have the support of one teacher and two Special Needs Assistants. We plan for the successful Graduate teachers or Final Year PME teachers to offer some extra support to the already assigned teacher and 2 SNA in each classroom. We hope the successful candidate will learn some new skills and strategies from this experience themselves. Our programme starts on Monday July 1st and finishes on Friday July 12th. The school day will run from 10am- 2pm. Our school also supports the Droichead process for NQT's.
