Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Interviews will be held on the 21st August. Shortlisted applicants will be notified by email on the 17th August.

Immediate duties for one post will be in the class for children with autism. Immediate duties for the second post will be with a mainstream class in the junior end of the school. SNAs can be allocated to any SNA role in the school at any time, at the discretion of the school principal.

Criteria for this position are as follows:
1. Relevant qualifications and experience - Applicants must have a minimum of Special Needs Assistant QQI/FETAC level 3 Qualification or a minimum of 3 grade Ds in the Junior Cert or equivalent. A level 5 or higher qualification is desirable. An additional qualification in special education, including autism or a related area is advantageous. Additional childcare and/or other relevant qualifications or courses (e.g. First Aid, Positive Behaviour Support Strategies, PEC, Lámh Module 1, etc) would be highly desirable.
2. Knowledge and experience of working in a class for children with ASD
3. Knowledge and experience of supporting multiple children with different additional needs in a mainstream primary.
4. Flexibility, team work and initiative
5. Communication and personal values relevant to our school ethos
