POST DETAILS
Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The CRC School caters for students aged 3-18 years who have a primary physical disability and may have a learning disability.The school is a special school under the patronage of the Central Remedial Clinic.
Essential Criteria:
- Level 5 SNA qualification
- a minimum of 2 years experience of working in a special school setting
- training in the care of a child with a tracheotomy
- training in the areas of feeding, manual handling and behaviour management
- experience in catering for care needs such as toileting and personal care needs
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience/ training in alternative and augmentative forms of communication
- Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
These positions are 0.83 of a post - school day is 8.50am - 1.30pm.
Applicants with panel rights must submit a Panel Form 1 (PF1) with their application.
Shortlisting will apply.
Interviews will be held in the week beginning August 21st 2017.
Appointment is subject to garda vetting, medical fitness and reference checking. Successful candidates must be available two days before official start date.
