Job location:
• Concern Head office Dublin, Ireland

In line with EU Aid Volunteer daily allowances:
• Whilst in Dublin €37.50 per day (€375.50 for 10 day induction)
• Whilst in Sierra Leone €468.52 per month

Accommodation in Dublin whilst on induction and when deployed in Sierra Leone will be provided by Concern.

At the end of volunteer placement an allowance of €1200 will be provided as a resettlement allowance.

A return flight will be provided to Sierra Leone from the EU Aid Volunteers home country

The cost of pre-departure preparations; insurance, medical clearance and vaccinations will be provided.

The EU Aid Volunteers initiative provides opportunities to European citizens and long-term residents, from a
wide range of backgrounds and with a diversity of skills and professional experience, to get involved in
humanitarian aid projects, support the provision of needs-based humanitarian aid in third countries and engage
in volunteering opportunities, through deployment.

Concern in Sierra Leone is working on The Lanin Biznes education project which is funded by Irish Aid, the TK
Foundation and David Barker. It is implemented in partnership with the local organisation Pikin-to-Pikin in five
chiefdoms in Tonkolili District, targeting 28 primary schools. The overall objective of the project is to increase
access to, and completion of, quality primary education.

Concern Sierra Leone is looking for a senior EU Aid Volunteer with experience in teaching / education
programmes to support the implementation, monitoring and documentation of the Safe Learning Model (SLM)
project in Sierra Leone. The role will see the volunteer facilitate training of Concern's learning coaches,
Concern's partner Pikin to Pikin (P2P) staff, Ministry of Education and Science and Technology supervisors
and school cluster supervisors. To support in the review of training materials and adaptation of piloted manuals
for use in training of teachers and School Management Committees. To contribute in strengthening the Safe
Learning Model (SLM) field team in the implementation of SLM projects in an integrated manner. Support
collaborative engagement of P2P with Concern as a team and strengthening the connection between the Safe
Learning Model national and international research teams with the project implementation team.
