The Board of Management of Killester Raheny Clontarf ETNS invites applications from registered teachers for the post of Special Class Teacher.

There is one fixed term post available until the end of the school year. This fixed term position is a result of our school being sanctioned to open a Reduced Autism Class with three pupils up until June.

Killester Raheny Clontarf ETNS is a developing mainstream primary school which opened in 2019 under the Educate Together ethos and has been located in Killester College of Further Education since September 2022.

Being a caring, inclusive school is important to us and therefore collaboration, innovation, communication and collegiality are essential attributes for all our team. In valuing the core principles of Educate Together, team-work and commitment are core to everything that we do, with all staff members respected as professionals and a key part of the vibrant teaching and learning team.

We are growing a Restorative school whose values are very much in line with the RP FRIENDS Values. As a teacher joining our dedicated and dynamic team, the position is a fantastic opportunity to not only work with pupils in our Autism Class but to positively contribute to the overall development of our growing school.

We are seeking applications from experienced teachers with a keen interest in joining our wonderful, developing school staff and who have a knowledge and understanding of the Educate Together Ethos. Experience and further study in SEN and also in leading initiatives is desirable. The successful candidates will work closely alongside all staff as KRC ETNS expands and thrives in its new premises.

The successful candidates should also be willing to engage in professional learning to enhance their role.

Appointments will be subject to Garda Vetting and Medmark requirements and confirmation of Teaching Council Registration.
Please note, due to the volume of interest expected, we will not be in a position to reply to each applicant. Interviews will provisionally be held in person on Tuesday the 14th of February, 2023. Applicants who are shortlisted will be given a minimum of 7 days’ notice to attend for the interview and should reply by email to accept or decline the interview. The email will outline the criteria for the interview.
