An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
At St. Joseph's, all the children have a visual impairment and many have additional complex needs including physical and medical, behavioural and learning disabilities. We have 2 standard full-time SNA vacancies. We also have 5 vacancies for fixed-term full-time SNA positions for school year 2022-23 to cover jobshare arrangements and other staff leave. All SNAs at our school must have experience in patient and manual handling, including use of hoist, and in assisting children with personal care and mobility needs. Duties also include assisting children with behavioural needs, with specialised feeding needs and with the administration of suctioning.
