DRAMA teacher required to direct Transition Year Musical. Successful candidate will be timetabled for 5 periods per week- a triple (2hrs) and a double (1 hr 20 mins) alongside school Music teacher. There may be additional rehearsals in the evening time and at the weekends in the run up to the staging of the production which is scheduled to take place at the end of January. This is a privately paid position. Candidate will be required to work from end of August to end of January 2023.
Responsibilities to include the following:
• holding auditions.
• stage direction.
• managing time and organising people and space
• provide students with necessary feedback, critique, encouragement and support
• attending production meetings Transition Year core team.
• organising rehearsals
• communicating and liaising with all parties involved, students, parents and staff.
• attending preview performances and preparing detailed notes for the cast and for the back stage team.
