Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This post arises from a full time job-share position for the school year 2022/2023 (split week basis)
The contract could be terminated in the event of the SNA who is job-sharing, resigning, retiring, not returning to work for any reason or being made redundant during the term of the job sharing arrangement.
Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work both on their own initiative and in a team capacity. All members of the school staff are expected to respect the Catholic ethos of the school and be willing to engage in relevant CPD.
Previous experience of working with children with physical, medical, ASD and/ or complex needs is desirable.
Additional qualification in additional/special needs and/or childcare would be advantageous.
Other qualifications such as First Aid, Manual Handling, Positive Behaviour Support Strategies, PECS, Lámh, etc would be of benefit also.
The initial duties of the post may change according to the care needs of the pupils.
Experience of working with assistive technology is desirable.
The appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening, and completion of Children First online training.
