An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Holy Family School caters for children aged 4-18. Pupils have a moderate/multiple disability, severe and profound disability and/or ASD. The school currently employs 55 SNAs. In addition to the permanent positions, there are 4 temporary positions, and one half of a jobshare.
Applicants should have experience in working with children a learning disability, physical, sensory and complex difficulties, and have worked as part of a school based team.
Experience in essential school based competencies include - FEDS(Feeding, Eating, Drinking and swallowing), PEG Feeding, personal hygiene, hoisting, toileting/incontinence issues, catheterisation, disruptive/challenging behaviour, assisting with physiotherapy/occupational/speech and language therapy exercises, assist in swimming pool
IT experience of iPads, tablets, computers, switches, interactive whiteboards and Lamh sign language desirable
