An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Please note Askeaton Senior N.S. will amalgamate with Askeaton Junior N.S. on the first day of the new school year and this post will be assigned to the new Scoil Naomh Muire Eas GĂ©itine.
This fixed-term post arises because of a career break for the duration of the 2022/'23 school year. Experience teaching Junior Infants or Special Education is advantageous. The initial duties of this post are those of a mainstream teaching post, but duties may be subject to change. Applicants must have a Certificate to teach Religious Education.
Candidates called to interview will have to supply original copies of third level qualifications, teaching practice grades, Inspector's reports and proof of Teaching Council registration. Do not attach these to your application. Failure to comply with these requirements may invalidate a candidate's application. Appointment will be subject to current Vetting requirements, OHS and Teaching Council Registration.
