Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This post is for the duration of the 2022/23 school year.
Initial duties are those of a 6th class teacher though these duties may be subject to change.
Probation advantageous.
Evidence of the following experience is highly desirable:
Experience of teaching senior classes (5th/6th) and successfully organising initiatives including Science Blast and Junior Entrepreneur.
Experience of managing children with SEN in the mainstream setting and working with SET's and an SNA.
Evidence of relevant experience in team teaching, guided reading and mata sa rang.
Evidence of skills and experience in STEM and Sport
Evidence of experience of working with children with challenging behaviour
Evidence of experience of working with children with EAL
Evidence of capacity to work in a collaborative way with colleagues
Applicants must have a recognised certificate to teach Religious Education.
Appointment is subject, but not limited to, satisfactory references, current and continued registration with the Teaching Council, current Garda vetting and OHS requirements.
